Happy Birthday Macintosh!
Happy Birthday Macintosh!
While doing bedtime tonight my son was telling me all about his exciting day at school. The end of the year is always fun in elementary school. At the same time I was hugging him while trying to not cry.
A total eclipse of the heart.
Hello old friend!
Hello power outage my old friend.
Once a Dawg, always a Dawg.
Perfect weather tonight for the outdoor father daughter dance.
I have received my second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine!
I have received my first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine!
Currently Biden leads in Georgia by 1,096 votes. Never say to yourself your vote doesn’t matter. The presence or absence of your one vote could change the course of history. Always vote!
Our elementary aged daughter just told us the five freedoms afforded by the first amendment. She did just as well as, and some may say better than, a Supreme Court nominee.
For the past 10 days I have been tending a from scratch sourdough starter. Today I baked my first ever bread. I don’t know what it looks like on the inside or what it tastes like yet but the outside looks decent enough.
I won’t look too far ahead
It’s too much for me to take
But break it down to this next breath, this next step
This next choice is one that I can make
So I’ll walk through this night
Stumbling blindly toward the light
And do the next right thing
I have met my move goal for 1095 days! Three years!
The big present tonight could not be fully assembled thanks to a wing nut that is defective and prevents it from tightening fully on the screw. Without it there is risk of things falling apart and over. Merry Christmas!
Finishing up some work late tonight I listened to the most recent This American Life episode “688: The Out Crowd”. It’s heartbreaking and I just started to cry thinking of the people, their situation, and my inability to help in any meaningful way.
Excited that Disney+ is here. First thing to stream on our account had to be Steamboat Willie.
Growing up is not the problem—forgetting is.
Thankful that I can get out of bed another year older and do something like this!
Of course my child would come to Six Flags, want to play at the kid playground, find musical bells on the playground, realize that she can play Ode to Joy on them, and then proceed to play it several times.
I just watched the animated short “One Small Step”. It reminded me to invest in my children and their dreams whatever they may be. To encourage and foster their curiosity even when things may seem difficult and unobtainable. It’s one of the best legacies you can leave.
That’ll do pig—that’ll do.
Today the culmination of seven months of work sees the light of day. It’s exciting and terrifying at the same time.
Today was one of the best and most magical days ever!
I’m currently 11th in line to vote. There are about thirty others. The diversity of the line is great.
